Leaking water tanks

Ground movement can cause large concrete water tanks to fracture and leaks and efflorescence to occur.  With the current dry conditions in many parts of Australia ground movement and fracturing water tanks is becoming common.

A waterproofing approach

When a concrete water tank fails and starts to crack, a proper repair is a complex task.

First of all we grind out the cracks to allow us to work with them properly.  This painstaking job cannot be done in half measures as the application of the grout requires clean, smooth grooves for the most effective results.

The grouting used also needs to be carefully considered for the job.  Most often we will apply a two pack, fast drying, non shrink grout.
